This tray is made of thinly sliced wood veneer.

White ash is a wood characterized by its white color with a slight yellowish tinge.

The color of the wood looks different depending on the angle of light and the direction from which it is viewed. Taking advantage of this characteristic, the veneers are cut into triangular shapes and pasted together around the center, creating the appearance of rays of light emanating from the center of the tray.
