The Shiro Suita is known for its hard texture and strong cutting and material removal power. It is best suited for use just before the final mirror-polishing stage, delivering excellent results for material removal tasks.

It performs exceptionally well for sharpening knives, straight razors, woodworking chisels (nomi), hand planes (kanna), and saws.
